The species has spread to the Tornio region in the north. It flies in a wide variety of bushy places. The forelegs are light yellow, the reddish and dark-colored, the middle column is darker. The cross streaks are light, dark shaded on the middle column side. The night spots are reddish-central, light-ringed, fading. Wing spacing 27 - 34 mm (Silvonen & et al. 2014).
The caterpillar is green, the longitudinal stripes white dorsal stripe is wider than the lateral dorsal stripe, the lateral stripe wide, its upper part yellow, the lower part yellow-green. Adhesive spots black, zones without color elements. The running opening of fraction A7 is below the top of the side line. It is multifunctional with deciduous trees and shrubs such as maple (Acer), rowan (Amelanchier), birches (Betula), walnut (Corylus), hawthorn (Crataegus), poppy (Frangula), honeysuckle (Lonicera), oak (Prunus), oak ( Quercus), currants (Ribes), willows ( Salix), rowan (Sorbus), linden (Tilia) and elm (Ulmus). The egg overwinters.
Observation: Initial observation in Matinoja 195 8 (Leimo Kangas). Myös Arto Tyrni, Jyrki Ali-Kippari, Keijo Mattila ja Matti Ahola ovat havainneet lajin.
